Web app + Chrome companion
Two doors, one stash.
KnowStash is a web app. Sign in at knowstash.ai in any browser and your library is there: notes, videos, queues, monitors, newsletters. The free Chrome companion adds the part that needs YouTube itself, a panel beside the video where you can ask about it, read its notes, and build queues as you browse.

What the companion does on YouTube
On every watch page, a small panel sits in the right column with two tabs. It does only the things that need the video in front of you.
- Ask about the video you're watching. Type a question and a note streams in; send the box empty to stash the video for later. A saved prompt, a collection, the model preset and a chapter to scope the question to are all one click away, and the cost shows beside the send button.
- Read this video's notes beside the player. Every note made from it, in a reader next to the video. Timestamps in a note seek the player.
- Build queues as you browse. Hover any thumbnail and click the plus to add it to your queue; add the video you're on with one button. An empty send stashes the whole queue, and a typed one writes a note per video, one note from all of them, or updates the one note that queue keeps.
- See what's already yours. Small stash, notes and queued badges on thumbnails across YouTube show what's in your library and what is lined up.
On the YouTube pages with no player, home, channels, search, subscriptions and playlists, a KnowStash button in the top bar shows which queue the plus is filling and switches to another. If you would rather not see all of it, the extension's toolbar icon has a switch for video pages and one for browsing pages.
Everything else happens at knowstash.ai, and the panel links there: the note reader has an “Open on knowstash.ai” button, the queue opens on the Queue page, and monitoring is managed on the Monitor page. It is one account either way, so a queue you start on YouTube finishes whether or not the tab stays open, and the Queue page follows it live.
Once it's added
- Pin it to your toolbar. Click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser and pin KnowStash, so it's always one click away.
- Sign in with the same account you use at knowstash.ai. No account yet? Create one: confirming your email puts your 3 free credits into the balance. Google or email and password, both work.
- Open any YouTube video. The panel appears beside the player. Ask for the note you want and watch it stream in, or add the video to a queue for later.

The web app is the product, and it needs no extension at all. Paste a link on the Home page to stash a video and ask for a note, then everything you keep and everything that runs on its own lives here:
