About KnowStash

KnowStash turns YouTube videos into clean, searchable notes you keep, and watches channels, searches, and playlists so the useful new videos come to you already summarized. It is built and operated by KnowStash S.R.L., an independent software company registered in Romania.

What KnowStash is

A lot of the most useful knowledge published today is spoken in videos: market commentary, product reviews, tutorials, talks, interviews. Watching it all is impossible, and skimming it is lossy. KnowStash lets you capture any YouTube video once (we call it stashing) and then ask, in your own words or with a saved prompt, for exactly the note you want: a shopping shortlist from ten review videos, a weekly brief from the market channels you trust, a recipe card, a study guide, a growing wiki of everything a channel has taught.

Notes stream in clean, readable Markdown. They are versioned, searchable, organized into collections, and shareable with a link. Monitors watch a search, a channel, or a playlist for you, and can stash new videos automatically, write the note without being asked, or email you a roundup when something new lands. Everything lives in one account with one library and one credit balance, whether you use the browser extension inside YouTube or the companion web app.

Who makes it

KnowStash is made by KnowStash S.R.L., a company registered in Romania, and is the company's sole product. We launched publicly in July 2026: the website and self-service signup opened first, and the browser extension shipped on the Chrome Web Store the same month. We are funded by the people who use the product. There are no ads, and your library is yours: notes exist for you, not for an advertising profile, and our privacy policy is written to be read.

How we think about pricing

Watching video with AI has a real cost, so we keep the meter honest and visible. One credit is one hour of video, stashed and noted. Every subscription tier costs the same per credit: a bigger plan is a bigger monthly allowance, never a better rate. One-time top-ups are the walk-up rate and cost more per credit than any plan, which is the honest price of not committing. Every action shows what it will cost before you run it, balances never expire, and every purchase carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Current plans and amounts are always on the pricing page.
